Indore: The election for the members of the managing committee and office-bearers of the prestigious Yashwant Club is almost one month away. But, both the panels have started wooing the club members to cast votes in their favor. In the meantime, a member of the club has announced to fight the election for member of managing committee as an independent.

The election is scheduled to be held in the second week of next month. Both the panels have declared the names of candidates for different posts of the Club and for the election of members to the powerful managing committee. Both sides have geared up their efforts. Synergy panel of Dr Tony Sachdeva, who is also a candidate for the post of chairman, has so far organised three parties to some of important and influential members of the Club. All the three parties are given in a five star hotel of the city.

Another panel, YC Friends, is trying to attract members with their policies and principals. In terms of offering number of parties to the members, it’s lagging behind its rival panel. Sources of YC said that so far it has organised just one party to few members of the Club in a prime hotel of the city.

However, a member of YC Dr Hemant Kabra has announced to fight the election for the member of managing committee as an independent.
