SEONI MALVA : The students awaiting admission in the government Kusum College might end up in trouble as the college management by mistake displayed wrong last date of paying admission fees on the notice board due to which many student could not pay admission fees on time. The last date for paying admission fees was July 23 and for students of waiting list it was July 24 but the management did not specify this and displayed last date as July 24. According to practice ten percent of the admission seats are increased every year in each course but the college management did not make any effort in this direction to get the intake seats increased.

The students deprived of admission in the college made these accusations on the college management.

The student leaders and the students alleged that almost all the government colleges of Itarsi and Hoshangabad got their admission seats increased by 10 to 20 per cent in various courses but the management of Kusum College did not do any effort in this direction to benefit the local private college.

The Free Press had printed in its July 19 edition that the Governement Kusum college management had given permission to a private college of the city to access the documents of the students seeking admission and their other data. This shows the nexus with the private college.
