Indore : A woman of MIG area went missing after going with another woman for domestic work 20 days ago. Angry relatives of the missing woman staged dharna at Gandhi Statue, Regal crossing on Thursday protesting against the inaction of police.

The 30-year-old woman was taken by another woman promising her a domestic work of cooking. But the woman did not return home even after 20 days. Her family members complained to the police but did not take any action. Protesting the inaction of police, family members on Thursday staged dharna at Regal crossing demanding police to trace the missing woman.

As per the information, on Thursday one woman Asha Sonane (50-years) sat near Gandhi Statue along with her three grand children and few other family members. Asha’s daughter Anita Sonane (30-years) is missing since last 20 days and they have filed a complained at the MIG police station regarding it.

According to the family of the missing woman, police are not taking any action on their complaint. After a long time of their informal dharna, the police personnel deployed at the Regal Crossing assured them of action and they called off their protest.

Asha said that, another woman took her daughter with her, with the excuse of providing some cooking work, for which she promised that Anita would get Rs 500 daily. After that, they are not getting any information about Anita. When they went to the police, the police rudely sent them back.

The missing woman has three children and the elder daughter Rakhi said that, the other woman was saying that she should wear a good sari and they will return soon. But, police are not doing enough to find about that woman, too. The other family members also questioned over the working of police.
