Indore : The security guards provided to whistleblower Dr Anand Rai went missing suddenly on Wednesday. It may be recalled that Dr Rai had exposed the Vyapam scam. More than 50 people associated with the scam, including a journalist, have died under mysterious circumstances so far.
Being the whistleblower, Dr Rai has been provided with two security guards round the clock. On Wednesday night, Dr Rai wanted to visit an acquaintance in MY Hospital when he found the guards missing. He tried to get in touch with senior police officers but to no avail. Finally, Dr Rai went to the hospital alone. However, when it came to returning home Dr Rai felt it unsafe at 1:30 am and was in a dilemma when media persons came to his rescue and escorted him home.
