Bhikangaon: Sunday was a great day for the villagers of Surva, as they found water in the new bore-well at the depth of only 200-feet. The village had been struggling with the severe water shortage, for the last two years. Now, as they obtained a long-term solution for the water problem, they became very happy.

On June 4, around 60 women and men requested the SDM KK Malviya to provide some solution of the problem. Earlier, one tube well was in use as community tube well, but two years ago, the owner of the land, on which the bore-well was situated, stopped people to take water from there; though there was enough water in the bore-well. Therefore, the villagers wanted from the administration to acquire the well and tube-well located on that field and then to declare them as the public property.

However, the SDM thought for a full and final solution. Malviya sent one boring machine for digging a new tube-well on Friday night. However, the villagers were highly doubtful about finding of underground water through the tube-well. Because, within the last two years, tube-wells failed five times and once a ‘Nirmal Neer Koop’ failed, too.
Hence, keeping the doubt in their minds, they approached the ‘Mahant Narayandasji’ of ‘Udasin Akhada Ashram’ in Bamnala and requested him to indicate the right site for the bore-well. This time, their faith worked and water was found at the depth of 200 feet.

As soon as the water was found, the villagers came in the mood of celebration. On Sunday, a motor pump was placed inside the bore-well and water began to flow from the outlet. Now, this new tube-well will end the dispute between the villagers and the landowner, who had stopped the public to use his tube-well. The villagers expressed their gratitude towards the SDM Malviya and the Mahant Narayandasji.
