Indore : The Enforcement Adjudicating Authority, endorsing the action of Enforcement Directorate, Indore approved attachment of property of Vyapam scam prime accused Dr Jagdish Sagar under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

The attached property worth Rs 3.4 crore included gold, luxury cars, house, flat and land. With this, the ED is all set to tighten the noose around Dr Sagar further.

Officials of the ED had provisionally attached his property on March 31, this year. Later, the ED rushed to the Adjudicating Authority for confirmation of action, where it tasted success by attaching the accused’s movable and immovable property which included luxury cars like Fortuner and Mercedes, 3kg gold deposited in the court, flat and house in Mahalaxmi Nagar of Indore.

May be quizzed again

Though the ED had summoned Dr Sagar three times earlier, the accused may be summoned again for questioning by the ED officials.

It may be recalled that the ED had sent a letter to the Registrar of Propertry’s office on Tuesday last seeking information about the property of Dr Sagar located in the City and their certified copies as well. Dr Sagar had received crores from students ensuring them to get success in the state PMT conducted by VYAPAM.
