BHOPAL : The CBI has identified 212 cases, 17 more than the cases registered earlier by STF, in Vyapam scam in its primary investigation so far and would file FIRs in all these cases.
The centre agency has already filed 96 FIRs in the admissions and recruitment scam, taking over even a decade-old cases from different district police.
The agency officials also wrote to Vyapam to give documents related with examinations and procedures. “The agency officials have started submitting letters to Vyapam seeking detail about the cases in which FIRs were filed so far,” said sources. A team of senior CBI officers is expected to visit Vyapam to know procedure of examinations. The officials have conveyed in this regard to Vyapam.
The CBI got the detail of system and examination pattern while calling Vyapam officials at its office. But now, the team will visit the board to see the procedure on machines.
Sources in the Vyapam said that CBI officials are not in hurry to get every detail about the cases. Instead they have given sufficient time to board officials to provide information. “The agency has distributed cases in its officers and every officer is approaching for particular information. It is easier because they are not in hurry for very required information about the entrance and recruitment tests,” said a senior official.
The STF had earlier taken huge documents and candidates’ record from the board in fraud cases.
