Indore : Vishisht School of Management organised a musical evening at Hotel Atithi Satkar on Wednesday. More than 100 students participated in the event. Local singers Rajesh Sharma and Sonali Puranik entertained the audience with all time favorite ghazals of Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar and other singers.
Managing director of Vishisht School of Management, Naveen Narang inaugurated the event by quoting the importance of music in life. “Music is a healing therapy that relaxes mind, body and soul,” he said.
The event was organised to celebrate winters and entertain students. With increasing stress in a student’s life, the college decided to ease the examination tension with a musical night. Sharma sang evergreen songs of Kishore Kumar including ‘Dilbar mere kab tak mujhe aise hi tadapaaoge’ and ‘Chingari koi bhadke’. Sonali presented Lata Mangeshkar’s immortal songs like ‘Tere aankhon ke siwa duniya me rakha kya hai’, ‘Lag ja gale’ and ‘Aapki nazaron ne samjha pyaar ke kabil mujhe’.?
Students were enchanted by famous ghazals like, ‘Hoshwalon ko khabar kya’, Aane se uske aaye bahar’ and ‘Chandi jaisa rang hai’.
Academic director of Vishisht School of Management, SM Anas Iqbal commended the ghazal genre for portraying different pictures of life with its soulful lyrics. Narang concluded the musical evening by praising the artists.
