Indore : The newly-appointed BJP General Secretary, Kailash Vijayvergiya will resign as State Urban Housing and Environment minister with pomp and show. Under BJP’s policy of ‘One Man One Post’, the resignation is likely to be accepted. But, Vijayvargiya is also in-charge of Simhastha Fair 2016 and therefore the state government may want him to continue on.

Sources close to the minister said he will leave for Bhopal around 10.00 am on Saturday accompanied by 5000 to 7000 party workers and leaders in the form of a rally where he is expected to hand in his resignation from the post.

Large scale preparations have been made for his welcome at Shipra, Dewas, Sonkutch, Ashta, Sehore, Bairagarh and other towns and villages etc on the road to Bhopal and in Bhopal as well.

The party workers are arranging for buses, cars, jeeps and every sort of vehicle they can lay their hands on, to transport people to the Bhopal, sources said adding each worker has been asked to collect as many men as possible to make the rally impressive.

It is expected that more than 500 cars and jeeps will be carrying party workers and supporters from Assembly segment number 2 alone. In Bhopal, the rally will swell up with workers and leaders from other parts of the state joining it. Even in Bhopal, a large portion of leaders making a bee line to welcome Vijayvargiya includes sitting MLA s and ministers of Shivraj Singh Chauhan government.

Following his elevation to the post of BJP National General Secretary, Vijayvargiya as constantly been on tour to MP, UP and Bihar, and particularly to UP where elections will be due next year. Though BJP National President Amit Shah is yet to make formal announcement, the mantle of ensuring a BJP win in UP is likely to fall on Vijayvargiya’s shoulders.
