Indore : Hours after they claimed to have caught the duo involved in the stabbing spree in Lasudia, one of the victims led to a quandary for the police after he denied that the arrested duo were the attackers. Police paraded Rahul Girgune and Mohit Sharma before mediapersons claiming that the duo had created panic in posh locality Scheme No 136, Rajiv Awas Vihar and Aranya Nagar.
The police also faced a setback. Victim Abhishek Shinde of Nai Basti Niranjanpur shocked police when he denied that the arrested Rahul and Mohit were not those stabbing him.
He also claimed that the description of the real culprits does not match the arrested youth. “The accused who attacked me, were tall and healthy, while Rahul and Mohit are short and slim” he reportedly told a sub inspector Parihar posted at Lasudia police station.
SI Parihar reportedly asked Abhishek that his denial will spoil the hard work of police, but Abhishek swore on his grandmother’s name and told Parihar that he will never lie at any cost. SP East OP Tripathi could not be contacted.
