Indore : Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) vice chancellor Prof DP Singh reportedly pulled up examination and evaluation centre officials over delay in undergraduate final semester exam results and directed them to announce the results before June 29 anyhow.From June 29, students allocated admissions in post-graduate courses will have to submit fee.
Students, who had appeared in UG final semester exams held in May, are demanding to declare their results and subsequently provide mark sheets to them before the said date so that only those students who are eligible for admissions in PG course submit fee.
The VC reportedly told the officials that he won’t accept any excuse if results were not announced before June 29. The VC had convened a meeting of officials of examination, evaluation centre and computer centre after UG final semester students staged a protest over delay their results.
Singh instructed the officials of making result calendar having course-wise dates for declaration of results and strictly adhere to it. “Students should know beforehand when their results will be announced,” he told the officials.
The VC was informed that the results got delayed because most of the teachers whom answer books were allocated for evaluation had gone on summer vacation. The VC suggested Evaluation Centre incharge VB Gupta to allocate answer books, in future, to only those teachers who agrees to evaluation work within the given time frame.

The vice chancellor said that students should be rest assured that results of UG final semester exam would be declared at the earliest. He said that the DAVV has made special arrangements to declare the results as early as possible. “I am pressing members of a monitoring committee for evaluation centre to visit the centre every day and push for declaration of results without much ado,” Singh said.
