Sanwer: Some unidentified thieves struck at the house of a local resident Radheshya Dungarwal Kumawat and took away valuables worth over Rs 1 crore including cash of Rs 2 lakh and precious ornaments of gold and silver on Monday night. According to sources, at the time of theft, the family members of Kumawat family were sleeping in another room of the house. The thieves entered in the house after breaking the window of back-side of the house, took out the keys of cupboards from Radheshyam Kumawat’s wife’s waist and took away precious ornaments of about 580 gram gold and 13.5 kg silver from one almeerah, about one kilogram gold ornaments and about 15 kilogram silver ornaments from another almeerah. The thieves have taken away cash of Rs 2 lakh also from the house.
The sources said that Radheshyam Kumawat recently constructed this house and performed the marriage of his daughter four days before. The guests were also sleeping in the house. At the time of theft, the family members and all the guests had been sleeping in the hall and the almeerahs had been kept in another room located in backside of the house. Due to that, the family members could not know about the theft. The sources said that after the theft, the thieves fled away from backside of the house. An open ground is there towards the backside of the house of Kumawat family. The thieves took advantage of open ground and easily fled away from there.
When in the morning, the family members of Kumawat family woke-up they came to know about the theft, immediately they informed at the local police station. After receiving the information, the police station in-charge Umrao Singh reached at the spot along with forensic team, registered the case and started the investigations.
