Khargone: The increasing theft incidents are not stopping in the town. The unidentified thieves are targeting the houses of local posh colonies. During the intervening nights of Monday and Tuesday, the unidentified thieves struck at local Bhokal Colony and Annapurna Nagar and took away valuables worth over 1.5 lakh.

According to sources, the thieves attempted to conduct the theft at Bhikangaon MLA Jhuma Solanki’s residence also, but they could not succeed. The sources said that the thieves took away ornaments and Rs 24,000 cash from the house of one retired school principal Chandrashekhar Khode’s house at Annapurna Nagar.

In the another theft, the thieves struck at the house of Ghanshyam Patidar at Annapurna Nagar and stolen Rs 9,000 cash and ornaments worth thousands from here. After the thefts, ASP Rajesh Dandotiya SDOP RB Dixit, police station in-charge Ajay Kumar Verma reached at the crime-scenes with the team of forensic experts and inspected the places.
