Mhow : Some unidentified thieves struck at a lone house at local Shanti Nagar Colony at Mhow-Pithampur road near here on Tuesday night and took away valuables worth over lakhs of rupees including cash and precious ornaments.

According to Kisanganj police, when the house-owner Hemant, son of Kasturchand Gorana, resident of Shanti Nagar, (Mhogaon) near here, had gone to his duty at a factory at Pithampur and his wife had gone to teach in a nearby private school, the thieves struck at his house. The thieves have taken away gold and silver ornaments including gold chain, earings, rings and other precious ornaments and Rs 8,000 cash after braking the locks of the almeerah. When Hemant’s wife reached at the resident, she found almeerah’s locks broken and came to knew about the theft. She informed the neighbours and the police. The Kisanganj police reached at the spot and registered the case against the unidentified thieves.
