Anand Mohan Mathur Library opened on the HC premises

Indore: With rich stock of books and reference materials, a well-equipped and air-conditioned library was dedicated to public on Thursday by the Supreme Court judge Justice AK Patnaik. The new library, ‘Anand Mohan Mathur Library’, is a gift of Anand Mohan Mathur Charitable Trust to the lawyer community of Indore.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Indore High Court bench Justice Shantnu Kemkar. Former Advocate General Anand Mohan Mathur and president of Indore Bar Association PK Shukla were also present on the occasion. Justice Patnaik and Kemkar inaugurated the library on Thursday.

On the occasion, Justice Patnaik said that libraries are highly useful for lawyers to get references in various cases and to get latest information regarding law and judgments. Hence, the lawyers need to use the library maximum to keep themselves updated.

Senior advocate Ashok Chitley and Prof Sarojkumar spoke about the personality and contributions of Anand Mohan Mathur. The programme was compeered by Akash Sharma. Many honourable judges and senior advocates attended the function. The guests and all the dignitaries present at function went through the library and appreciated it. The programme was organised jointly by the High Court Bar Association and Anand Mohan Mathur Charitable Trust, said trust president Sunil Trivedi.
