Unknown youths barge into house, loot couple in a Mangliya township

Indore: Two unidentified youths attacked and looted a couple after entering their house forcibly on Thursday night. After ransacking the house, they fled away with looted goods.

The injured couple was rushed to a hospital by a security guard of nearby township.

According to police, two accused entered the house of Santosh Jogilal, a resident of an under construction township in Mangliya and attacked the couple with stones and also ransacked their house. They also looted money and goods from the house. The accused even threatened to kill us before fleeing from the spot,” Santosh said.

After the incident, Santosh and his wife Rajni ran out of the house with their two children and reached security guard of a nearby township for help.

They said the accused entered their house after breaking the door. The police registered a case of loot against unidentified youths and started an investigation.

Thieves broke into house of a railway employee in Aerodrome area and decamped with booty worth lakhs, on Thursday night. The accused also locked the family members in a room and took away goods kept in other rooms.

According to police, the incident occurred in the residence of Dharmendra Meena of Ashok Nagar.

Dharmendra and his family members had gone to sleep at around 11.30 pm on Thursday and they discovered the theft in the morning. “When we woke up in the morning, we found our room was locked from outside. After peeping outside the window, we found our house ransacked and almirahs opened. After coming out with the help of neighbours, we informed the police,” Dharmendra said.

He said that the accused decamped with booty worth lakhs which include gold and silver jewellery.

Sanyogitaganj police on Friday registered a case of rape against a bus driver on the complaint of victim from Dewas, who was left abandoned by the accused in a lodge near MY Hospital. Police said a case under Section 376 has been registered against Bharat Jagdish of Raogarh in Dewas district.

“Jagdish lured the girl to Indore by promising her of marriage and raped her in the lodge on August 16 and fled in the morning of August 17,” the police said.

The victim anyhow reached her home and with the help of family members lodged a complaint against Jadish, on Thursday.

Two accused attacked and looted a man in Tukoganj area on Thursday night. The accused attacked on the victim with a sword when he refused to give them money. Ashok Srivas, of Goma Ki Phel, was attacked and injured by two accused Bhura and Vikas when he was returning home. Police have registered a case.
