Ujjain: Lady constable arrested in connection with SI’s suicide

SI Narendra Chauhan, posted in the radio department of Shajapur and originally from Tarana, committed suicide in his house in the Suncity Colony of Ujjain.

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): After an investigation in the suicide case of SI Narendra Chauhan, the Naagjhiri police arrested Mamta Parihar, a lady constable as being responsible for the death of SI, here on Tuesday afternoon. She is under interrogation.

SI Narendra Chauhan, posted in the radio department of Shajapur and originally from Tarana, committed suicide in his house in the Suncity Colony of Ujjain. Chauhan, who committed suicide about 25 days ago, had left a suicide note and had also written a letter to the SP. In this, he had blamed Mamtar posted in Shajapur for his death. Chauhan had alleged that Mamta threatened to implicate him in a false case and she has made a false complaint to his senior officials. Because of this, he is under pressure and is committing suicide.

After investigation, the police considered the suicide note serious and arrested Mamta Parihar by registering a case under Section 306 of the IPC and under the provisions of the Prevention of SC-ST Atrocity Act.
