Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): The District Congress Committee (DCC, urban and rural both) would hold a massive demonstration against the BJP-led Union government in first week of July.
This was decided during the core committee meeting of the DCC held at Mahakal Parisar on Monday. They decided to stage the demonstration mainly against price rise of essential goods and various irregularities committed in the name of tackling second wave of Covid-19. About 10, 000 party workers are expected to remain present. To evolve active participation, the party leaders will take block and ward-wise meetings across the district from Wednesday.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included MLAs Ramlal Maliya and Murli Morwal, former MLA Mahaveer Prasad Vasishtha, Batuk Shankar Joshi and Babulal Malviya, former MP Satya Narayan Pawar and DCC presidents Mahesh Soni and Kamal Patel.
