Indore : Three youths, riding a car, allegedly misbehaved with a sub-inspector of police (Traffic) at busy Regal Trisection on Tuesday.
The S-I called for reinforcements from police control room where upon a police team from Choti Gwaltoli police station reached the spot and arrested three youths.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Tuesday night. Choti Gwaltoli Police registered cases of obstruction of government work against Rajendra, Rajkumar and Inder Singh on the complaint from S-I Chandrakishore Mishra. All three accused are in police custody and they are being questioned.
S-I Mishra said that on Tuesday evening he was on duty at Regal Trisection as usual when the three accused came from Shastri Bridge in an Indica Car. The car was on the wrong side of the road and they did not stop despite admonishments from constable Brijesh.
Mishra jumped in front of the car forcing the youths to stop the car. As Mishra started issuing challan, the youths flew into rage and began arguing with him. During arguments, they even pushed and shoved Mishra and one of them allegedly bit Mishra’s fingers.
Finally, Mishra called for reinforcement from police control room and a team of cops from Choti Gwaltoli Police station reached the spot and took the youths into custody. The accused have a relative in the police department and currently is posted in Indore. The youths had tried to bluff their way out using their relative’s name.
