Indore : The police have arrested three persons in connection with looting a labourer on September 26 near Bima Hospital.
It may be recalled that the victim Mukesh Dhakse, resident of Dashrathbag Colony, was stopped by three persons riding an Activa scooter near Bima Hospital on MR 9. The accused had snatched his mobile phone and wallet and fled the scene.
Mukesh then filed a complaint with Heera Nagar police. Taking the matter seriously the police began investigating. During their investigation the police received a tip-off that three men were seen near Bapat Square who could be criminals.
Acting on the tip-off the police cordoned off the area and detained the three men. They were identified as Nitin Ahirwar, resident of Rustam Ka Bagicha, Anil Ahirwar, resident of Patnipura and Shubham Bourasi, resident of Patnipura.
During questioning the trio admitted to looting Mukesh on September 26 and based on the information provided by them the police seized the scooter used to perpetrate the crime along with the looted mobile phone and wallet with the cash.
Anil has a criminal record and was reportedly involved in looting a man by posing as a crime branch officer and accusing him of an accident. He also has cases registered against him in Vijay Nagar and Tukoganj police stations.
Similarly, accused Nitin also has a criminal record and has cases registered against him in Vijay Nagar, MIG and Khajrana police stations.
