Indore : Even after 24- hours of the loot incident of Rs 9 lakh occurred outside the State Bank of India branch at Polo Ground area, the city police could not arrest the three absconding accused.

One of the accused was nabbed by the bank security guard, a retired home guard commandant and ASI after a brave chase for a kilometer.

However, police raided at various places in the city in search of the accused but in vain.

Senior police officials claimed that they will nab the accused at the earliest.

It is to be noted that one of the robbers, Abrar ( 45) was nabbed by the brave trio after a chase of around one km.

The arrested accused revealed that the Rajpal Toyota demo car, in which company employee Vinod carried the cash to the bank on Tuesday morning, was tailed for 10 km by the four on two motor cycles.

” The robbers had planned to loot the cash midway, but owing to heavy traffic on the route they could not. They managed to execute the robbery outside the bank branch in the somnolent lane edging the Polo Ground main road,” SP East OP Tripathi said According to sources, three police teams have been constituted to nab the absconding accused.

While two police teams are conducting raids at the possible hideouts of the elusive trio in the city and outskirts, another police team has been sent to a neighboring state, where the robbers could have fled.
