Mhow : Thousands of saplings were planted under the Hariyali Mahotsava week, observed at tehsil level here.

State government has aimed to plant over one crore saplings during the week, under which it was aimed to plant about one lakh saplings in Mhow tehsil.

Meanwhile, the source said that about 20 to 25 thousand saplings were planted in the tehsil. The sapling plantation drive was carried out and under the drive thousands of saplings were planted at government and private premises in Mhow tehsil on Thursday. The main function was held at Veterinary College premises, Rasalpura where about 5 thousand saplings were planted. On the occasion, DFO AK Joshi, College Dean UK Garg and others were present. District Janpad president Om Parsawadia planed saplings at Jana Pav Kuti, at the birth place of lord Parashuram along with administrative officials and employees. The saplings were planted at other government and private educational institutions and offices also.
