Thieves strike at four shops in Malwa Mill

Indore : Burglars struck at four shops in Malwa Mill area on Monday night and decamped with cash and goods worth thousands. Police are investigating into the matter.

According to the police, thieves targeted Arora Hardware of Raju Arora, garments shop of Umesh Chauhan, grocery shop of Jagdish Gupta and another shop near Anaj Mandi in Malwa Mill area on the same night. Locks of the shops were broken and shutters were bent open to gain entry into the shops. The incident was discovered when shop owners approached their shop on Tuesday morning. The police investigated the spot and also examined some CCTV cameras installed there.

The shop owners said that miscreants decamped with Rs 30,000 cash from grocery shop, woolen clothes from garments shop and other valuables worth thousands of rupees from other shops.

Sources said that the miscreants also damaged a CCTV camera of a shop and took away its hard disk in order to evade their identity.
