Indore : All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced to email admit cards to candidates, who have registered for Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), after complaints that the cards could not be downloaded from the Council’s website due to technical glitches.
The AICTE has issued a notice stating “Admit card of valid candidates will be sent to their registered email ID on January 14. Please contact helpdesk if you do not receive your admit card by then.” The admit cards of CMAT-2016, which is to be held in a single window on January 17, were to be uploaded on AICTE website on January 5.
But because of technical issues, the AICTE could not upload the admit cards on its website will January 9.
As the cards were uploaded, the website went kaput and students could not download the cards from the website.
For two days, the website remained non-functional and went it opened on Monday, it would crash when students would click on “Download admit card’ link.
As complaints from the panicked candidates poured in AICTE office, it announced to send the cards through emails. The AICTE is going to conduct first every yearly CMAT, which till last year used to be held twice in a year. More than 400 B-Schools across the country, including that of Madhya Pradesh, accept scores for granting admission in MBA course. The CMAT is a computer-based exam.
