Indore : Here is good news for Government college students completing their graduation courses this academic year from Indore and Ratlam districts.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) — which is an IT service, consulting and business solutions company — for the first time will be holding placement drive at Government Holkar Science College on January 20 to hire graduate students from the Government colleges in Indore and Ratlam districts.

In a letter to 13 Government college principals in these two districts, Swami Vivekanand Career Guidance Scheme director Aditya Lunawat said: “The TCS will be holding pool placement drive at Government Holkar Science College on January 20 to hire staff for its offices in Gandhinagar and Vadodara.”

He asked the principals to ensure that maximum number of students, not less than 500, from their respective colleges who are willing to work in Gandhinagar and Vadodara districts participate in the placement drive.

Lunawat also directed the colleges to publish advertisements regarding the placement drive in newspapers and engage faculty in encouraging students to participate in it.

The training and placement officers and planning in-chrages of the colleges have also been asked to provide assistance in the drive.

The letter states that placements would be carried out for “Data processing role” and Market research & advance analytics role. The salary for the two posts will be Rs 10,250 and Rs 18,000, respectively.

The letter also states that students who are completing their graduation degrees in 2016 are also eligible for the placements. However, the students who got supplementary or ATKT or took a break of two years during the graduation programme have been declared ineligible.

The students have been suggested to report to the Holkar College at 8.30 am for the placement drive along with necessary academic documents and resumes.
