Nearly three and half years after a court employee had committed suicide on MIG police station premises, Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court disposed of an anticipatory bail petition of IT MA Syed, accused of abetting suicide, with a direction that he has to surrender before local court on April 25.
The HC disposed of the petition accepting the demand of petitioner Syed that he should be given freedom to surrender before the trial court and that the court be directed to decide on his application of regular bail on the same day. The High Court directed the petitioner to surrender before JMFC court on Thursday.
The HC also directed the lower court to decide on the application of the petitioner on Thursday itself. On December 20, 2015, court employee Pankaj Vaishnav committed suicide by hanging himself on MIG police station premises. Syed and three others was booked for abetment of suicide under 306 of IPC.
