Indore : The city on Friday received brief showers at various locations leaving the effigies of the Dashanad Ravan drenched. The meteorological department officials said that at least 9.6mm (0.37 inches) rains were recorded by late evening in the city limits. It was said that sudden rains by the evening came as a relief after scorching hot day but it also affected the festive mood of the citizens.

According to the information, the sudden rains cornered the festivities and the people had to rush to save the effigies of the Dashanad . Various effigies of Ravan were rescued while others were severely affected.
