Indore : Much to the relief of PG aspirants, the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya has announced much-awaited undergraduate course final semester exam results just ‘within the time’.
Two days after declaring BA sixth semester results, the DAVV declared results of BSc and BCom sixth semester results as well on the Saturday night.
“As we promised, we delivered all results of final semester exams of traditional UG courses before June 29,” said Deputy Registrar (confidential) Ajay Verma.
From June 29, the students who had registered online for admission in traditional PG courses, have to submit course fee. The last date to submit fee is July 3. The students were pressing for their results before June 29 so that only those students pay the fee who were declared successful in UG exams.
Following delay in UG final semester exams, the Department of Higher Education had permitted students to take provisional admission in PG courses on the basis of their marks up to fifth semester. But the DHE had also sought an undertaking from the students that their admissions in PG courses should be made null and void if they failed to clear UG final semester.
The students did not want to face this situation because once they paid the fee for PG courses, the same would have not been refunded by colleges even when their admissions were cancelled due to failure in cracking UG final semester exams.
The MBA aspirants were also pressing for UG final semester results before June 30, which is the last date to register online for the course counselling of which has been undertaken by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).
Like the DHE, the DTE has not permitted students to apply for admission in MBA course on the basis of marks up to fifth semester.
