Indore: Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, which declared the results of Class X and XII recently, has given 15 days’ time to apply for re-evaluation of answer sheets to those students who scored less than they expected and wish to recheck the same.

According to the board officers, students have to file a request of revaluation within 15 days of declaration of the results. The application has to be submitted online from MP Online cyber portals. Re-evaluation of each subject will cost Rs 200 while students who want to obtain a copy of their re-evaluated answer sheet will have to pay Rs 700 per subject.

Upper collector Bela Shukla while speaking to Free Press informed that “Students usually play this trick that they insist the board with an application asking a copy of their answer sheets picking out calculative mistake from it and then insisting the board authorities to increase their marks. So, this year the administration has decided to re-evaluate every answer sheet which has been asked by the student and has put on the additional charges on the ladder.”

Due to the change in pattern of the Joint Entrance Examination, the board authorities have asked to give preference to the request made for the subjects of Mathematics and Chemistry as the marks obtained in these subjects will affect students’ ranking in the JEE.
