Mhow : The Pithampur Municipal Council has decided to install street- lights at all the main roads of Pithampur industrial area. Estimated expenditure on this work will be around Rs 2 Lakh.

Chief Administrator of Pithampur Municipal Council Dr Madhu Saksena has said street lights will get fitted on the main road from Mahendra Wheeler to Eicher factory of the Pithampur industrial area.

And municipality is only waiting for permission from MP State Road Development Corporation to begin this work. Dr Saksena has said that main roads of Pithampur remain dark and goons and drunkards take advantage of this darkness to trouble decent people.

Taking cognizance on such incidents and of the striving efforts of Collector of Dhar district CB Singh, Pithampur Municipality claimed the responsibility for fitting the street lights. Expected expenditure on this first phase will be of around Rs 2 crore. In second phase street lights will be fitted at Teen Sagor Kuti circle and Indorama Bagdan area so that employees, common citizens can have safe travel and Police can also do their guards effectively.
