Indore : Miscreants pelted stones at a police team and PCR van staff when they tried to shut down a blaring DJ during a marriage function late on Sunday night.

Later the miscreants also pelted stones at a number of buildings in the vicinity suspecting them to be the ones who call the police.

According to sources, the incident occurred around 1 am in Aalapura. A marriage function was in progress opposite Bagadi Complex and the DJ was blaring. A police patrol from Raoji Bazaar police station, asked the marriage party to shut down the DJ as it was disturbing peace.

While the police party was asking the DJ to be shut down some young men came out in inebriated state and began to argue with the police party. As the arguments escalated additional force was summoned and the first to arrive was a PCR van. Meanwhile, stones were pelted from inside the function resulting in stampede.

A huge police force reached the spot and they used cane to disperse the rioting crowd. The DJ was seized and some suspects were rounded up during the combing operation conducted by the police during the night.
