Indore: The property accumulated by RTO clerk Raman Dhuldhoye through corrupt practices would now produce sportsmen. “ About 15 acre of land and houses on it confiscated in Morod- Machal village following a court’s order will be made a sports complex,” said District Collector Aakash Tripathi.
This property belonged to Dhudhoye. Economic Offence Wing ( EOW) sleuths swooped down on the premises of Dhuldhoye and discovered disproportionate assets worth crores. A special court directed the government to seize property of the ‘ tainted’ clerk.
Tripathi along with ADM Alok Singh, Superintendent ( EOW) Manoj Singh and additional tehsildar Lakhan Singh inspected the property so that it can be utilized. Since it had both built- up and an open area, the collector directed to turn the property into a sports complex.
The complex will be for students and sportsmen belonging to the Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes. It is to be noted that the State Government had recently announced that confiscated premises of the officials found guilty of corruption would be turned into schools or ‘ anganwadi’ centres, as in Bihar. The district administration decision of turning the property into a sports facility is a move in the same direction.
