Patients returning back disappointed from the hospital

Indore: Even after repeated efforts by the department and the administrative officers, the poor state of affairs at MY Hospital continues. Poor patients reaching there for various medical examinations are returning disappointed from the hospital as most of the diagnostic equipment are out of order.

Doctors are postponing surgeries due to the faulty ACs in the operation theatres, which also causing infection among the patients, since long time. Now, patients, who are coming for audiometry test and pulmonary test are disappointed to see the notice of non-functioning of machines pasted by the officials.

According to sources, the audiometry and PFT tests are stopped since last six months and no action has been taken by the administration yet.
“The hospital administration claimed to start various modern medical examination facilities but they do not maintain the available resources. The X-ray machine at the casualty department is out of order since last three months and emergency patients are being sent to the basement for X-ray by putting their lives in risk,” sources said.

Sources further said that the hospital administration also claimed to have overburden of patients in sonography unit bas one of the three machines is out of order.“The new machines remains ‘new’ only for few months and then it becomes a waste here. The hospital administration doesn’t take any action for maintaining the machines and excused for the scarcity of budget,” sources said.

Radio diagnosis dept demands digital X-Ray machines

Radio diagnosis department of MGM Medical College sent a proposal to the state government for providing various advance machines.  According to sources, the department has demanded CT-scan machine, digital X-ray machine, computerised X-ray machine and mammography machine. Sources further said that various advanced examinations can be conducted if they get any of these machines.
