Simhasta Fair: Rly, admn, BSNL on toes

Indore : Following the reprimand by general manager (GM) of Western Railway (WR) GC Agrawal, the top officials of the Ratlam division rush to the city railway station and explored possibility of expediting the remaining construction works. Two lifts at Bal Vinay Mandir platforms and two escalators at the main station are to be installed before Simhasta fair.

Manoj Sharma, DRM Ratlam division, accompanied by top officers of construction, electrical and mechanical section rushed to the city railway station on Saturday.

Sharma came from Ratlam to Indore by train and on the way he inspected the construction works at the way railway stations and platforms including Fatehabad and Baloda Takun. At Sharma also inspected platforms at Laxmibai Nagar.

Later he visited the two under-construction platforms at Bal Vinay Mandir side and inspected the space left for lift installation there. Sharma also inspected platform No 1 and No 5 to explore the possibility for the installation of escalators there.

He also visited the RMS and the multi-functional complex in order to assess the possibility to install escalator there. Later Sharma convened a meeting of officers at the VIP room.

Later talking to media, the DRM said that installation of lifts at Bal Vinay Mandir platforms and escalators at platform No 1 and 5 would be completed before the Simhasta fair. Earlier, it was planned to install the escalator inside the platform No 1. But now it will be installed outside the platform opposite to RMS office.

BSNL to provide seamless connectivity during Simhasta

The public Sector telecom company BSNL pledged to provide seamless high speed internet connectivity during the Simhasta Fair. Talking to media persons here on Saturday, BSNL MP circle chief general manager GC Pandey elaborated the planning of BSNL for the fair. He said that BSNL would provide seamless high speed connectivity in all the four points of the fair including Ujjain, Indore, Mortakka and Omkareshwar. Additional BTS are going to install there which will help in creating hotspots there. The hotspots will give 5G net speed. The laying of the optical fiber line in fair areas of Ujjain is almost complete and they are receiving applications from Akhadas for temporary net connections, he said.

Talking about the developments to be done in the city, Pandey said 55 more devices will be installed making the total number of BTS in the city to 195. This will provide seamless high speed internet service to entire city. The state of art equipment will be installed shortly and it would be completed before March 15, he said.

Laying of optical cables in the entire district would be completed before March 31, Pandey said.
