Mhow : Registering a big success, the district police arrested an inter-state sharp shooter with a reward of Rs 15,000 from Manpur on Tuesday. He has been sent to Bhopal under National Security Act.
Acting on a tip off, the police arrested Punamchandra Lodhi of Kodariya. He has been booked under several cases at various police stations including Indore, Manpur and Kishanganj.
ASP Arvind Tiwari said the accused is a notorious criminal and has a strong network around the area.
Police formed two separate teams and raided many places in search of him. The police received information that the accused had come to Sihod area of Manpur and all set to flee to Maharashtra.
As police team reached the spot, the accused ran from the place. He was chased for 2 km and caught. The police seized two costly mobiles and 24 SIM cards from him. Lodhi, a few days ago, shot a man because he had refused to give his niece’s hand in marriage. That very day, he shot one of his friend in Manpur. He allegedly had shot a youth also along with his gang in Maharashtra.
