Indore: Train no 19309 Ahmedabad-Indore-Ahmedabad Shanti Express reached here about 6 hours after its scheduled time, on Tuesday following blockage of track between Ahmadabad and Baroda. Udaipur Express too delayed by 4.50 hour because rakes of Shanti express are being used in the Udaipur train.

Ratlam Division Senior PRO Jitendra Kumar Jayant said some broad gauge rails accidentally fell from a goods train near Nadiyad between Ahmadabad and Baroda sections on Monday night. It created blockage on the section, delaying several trains. Jayant further said that the Indore-bound Shanti Express also got stuck due to the blockage. Hence, it reached city at 11.30am while its scheduled arrival timing is 6.30pm, making a delay of 5 hours.

The rakes of Shanti Express are being used in Udaipur Express, which scheduled to depart at 7.30 am because it is a platform return train. Since, the Shanti Express arrived 5 hour late, the Udaipur bound train left at 12.20 pm, a delay of 4.50 hours. Due to the delay, some passengers cancelled their tickets.
