Indore : District Collector P Narahari issued an order under Section 144 of CrPC 1973 directing shopkeepers to sell the whitener popularly known as Erase-X only to adults and keep the record of all sales made such as name, address of the buyer and date of sale etc.
Narahari also prohibited use of government premises and buildings such as government hospitals, rain baseras, government schools and other government buildings for marriage, religious, cultural and political functions. However, government events will be allowed to take place in these premises.
The order stipulates that all marriage gardens, hotels, community halls etc will have to earmark 35% of their total area for parking and in absence of such areas no functions will be allowed to be held.
The marriage gardens, hotels, community halls will also have to deploy at least four guards at their expense who will be responsible for directing the guest for parking areas. Besides, the marriage and other types of processions will be conducted in such a way so as not to create traffic jams.
A restriction is imposed on DJs to keep music under certain decibel so as not to disturb the public and residents. Similarly carrying of fire arms and weapons of sorts are also prohibited during processions.
The order will remain effective till July 27, 2015 and any violation of the order will be prosecuted.
