Indore : Concerned about the target of Rs 428 crores, Road Transport Commissioner Shailendra Srivastava will be coming to the city by the end of the week and will participate in the drive against vehicles. The commissioner had launched a massive drive, last year as well.

According to sources, Indore RTO has to achieve a target of Rs 107 crores more and the officials are concerned about the continuous holidays this month. The Commissioner has also directed the officials to continue the drive on holidays and will join the officials on road.

“The officials have the target to collect the revenue of Rs 3.5 crore every day. They believe that the target couldn’t be achieved as they already acted against defaulters,” sources said.

A checking team also reached the office of Keti Constructions, on which tax of Rs 1.17 crores is due over 95 vehicles, but didn’t find the vehicles on Tuesday. The officials served the notice to the company and gave them a time of seven days to deposit the tax.
