Indore : Taking strong action against bus operators for attaching buses with Kawad Yatra, taken out a few days ago in the western part of the City, the Regional Transport Officer fined Rs 2000 each on 10 buses, on Wednesday.

The action was taken against eight buses of AICTSL and two buses of Hans Travels and Citizen Travels.

RTO Jitendra Raghuvanshi said that they had served notices to the bus operators about a week ago but didn’t get satisfactory reply from them.

“We imposed a fine of Rs 2000 each on 10 buses and also warned the operators no to repeat the act,” Raghuvanshi said.

It is to be noted that these buses plied on wrong routes to facilitate the Kawariyas and other people without taking permission from the RTO.
