Rs 235 crore sanctioned  for rural road project

Indore : The Union Rural Development Ministry has sanctioned Rs 235 crre for construction of rural roads under the PM Rural Roads Scheme. Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan played an important role in getting quantum fund for the project. Devraj Singh Parihar, representative of MP Sumitra Mahajan informed that Mahajan had also talked to the Union Rural Development Minister over development of roads in rural areas of the State. During the current fiscal, the ministry has sanctioned Rs 503 cr including Rs 268 cr sanctioned earlier under the project. The amount is highest among all the states.
