Rs 1.92 cr withdrawn through RTGS Accused even blocked cell phone of the victim

Indore: In a strange case of online fraud, an unidentified accused withdrew Rs 1.92 crore through RTGS from an account of a company’s director, on Wednesday. The accused also blocked the registered mobile phone of the victim on which he receives the one time password of the transaction.

The victim has lodged a complaint with the Cyber Cell in this regard.

According to Cyber Cell, the incident took place with the Director of Mahakali Foods Products, Paritosh Shah.

“An unidentified accused has transferred the said amount from my account through RTGS. The accused had even blocked my mobile phone due to which I didn’t get any message or one time password of the transaction,” Paritosh said.

He added that he discovered the incident when he logged in his account through internet banking and found it blocked.

“After finding my account blocked, I reported to the matter to the Bank’s branch and later to the police,” he added.
