Indore : The 24th National Laser Symposium (NLS) will be hosted by Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT) from December 2 to 5. The prestigious symposium would jointly be orgnaised by the RRCAT and Indian Laser Association and sponsored by the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences, Department of Atomic Energy.
The NLS aims to create a platform for researchers in the field of laser physics, technology and applications, to interact with each other and network with eminent scientists in the field.
The symposium will cover invited talks by leading experts, poster presentation of the contributed papers, and thesis presentation by PhD students. The Indian Laser Association will also conduct short courses prior to the symposium. The RRCAT has invited all the scientists, engineers, and students engaged in the basic and applied research in the broad areas of laser and related fields, to participate in the symposium.
The main topics of the NLS-24 would be Physics and Technology of Lasers; Lasers in Nuclear Science & Technology; Laser Materials, Devices and Components; Nonlinear, Quantum and Atom Optics; Ultrafast Lasers and Applications etc.
The Book of Abstracts and CD will be published with ISBN 978-81-903321-6-3. The invited talks, papers selected for the “Best Paper Award”, and articles based on the work of “Best Thesis Award”, will be published in Kiran, the ILA Newsletter.
ILA Short Courses and Exhibition
The Indian Laser Association (ILA), the co-organizer of NLS-24, will organize short tutorial courses on November 30 – December 1 at RRCAT. ILA will announce the details of these courses separately. The ILA will also award prizes for the “Best Thesis” and “Best Poster” presentations. The annual general body meeting of ILA will also be held at RRCAT. ILA will also organizing an industrial exhibition for lasers and related products during NLS-24.
