Indore : Giving a jolt to MGM Medical College, the Principal Secretary of Medical Education Department sent back the proposal of ambitious project for MYH’s ‘Super Speciality Centre.’
The DME has returned the proposal with a direction to revise it.
It is to be noted that the medical college administration had sent the proposal of Rs 145 crore to the State Government for Super Speciality Centre, which was to be forwarded to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for approval.
According to college sources, the project was made by combining the proposals of all the departments of MGM Medical College.
The Government had asked to send a proposal up to Rs 150 crore but the HoDs had prepared a project of more than Rs 200 crore after which Dean Dr Pushpa Verma constituted a committee to finalise the proposal.
A final proposal was presented before Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Dubey, who returned the same with some changes and directed the college administration to prepare the proposal both in English and Hindi. “After finalising the proposal, it was sent to the Principal Secretary for final nod but it was sent back for some changes again,” sources said.
Medical College spokesperson Dr Rahul Rokade said “We are revising the proposal and the final proposal will be made in a week.”
