Indore : The Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya on Thursday announced results of BCom (Hons) fifth semester exams. An impressive 93 per cent of the students have cleared the exams which is a record in the university.
“Indeed, the results is very impressive and encouraging to the students,” deputy registrar Prajwal Khare said. “In recent past, never such a result has been witnessed,” he said recalling that BSc fourth semester result which was announced in October was about 82 per cent.
Asked as to why the percentage shot up, Khare said that the university had directed for liberal evaluation of answer books. However, he did not undermine the performance of the students as well.
DAVV media incharge Chandan Gupta said that in view of Simhastha-2016 which is scheduled to start at Ujjain on April 22, the university has started churning out pending results fast.
“We will ensure that the teachers remain free from evaluation work during the Simhastha,” Gupta said.
