Alot (Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh): Area MLA Manoj Chawla alleged on Tuesday that mega vaccination drive that started on June 21 has proved to be a failure as vaccaines are not available at many centres in rural areas.
Block medical officer Abdul Qadri said a target has been set to conduct 30,000 vaccinations in Alot tehsil by June 30. On June 21, 5,000 people were vaccinated in tehsil. After that, very few vaccines were available. On Wednesday, only 2,000 vaccines were available against demand of 5,000.
Sub-divisional officer Rajesh Shukla said, “We received 2,000 vaccines from Ujjain, due to which people faced inconvenience. From Thursday, we will try to get more vaccines.”
