Ratlam: BJP district unit comes hard on expelled candidates

Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district unit has taken disciplinary action against those candidates who are contesting civic body elections against saffron candidates.

According to a BJP press release, district BJP president Rajendra Singh Lunera has expelled various leaders of the party from its primary membership ranging from six to ten years for contesting against party candidates in Dhamnod nagar parishad civic body elections, three leaders of the party contesting in Namli nagar parishad civic body elections, six leaders from Jaora for contesting against party candidates in the civic body elections.

BJP media in-charge Arun Tripathi informed that the decision in Ratlam city will be taken in a day or two. Meanwhile, a BJP press release informed that the election manifesto to be released for Ratlam municipal corporation election will be based on suggestions from the electorate.

Meanwhile, the first phase of civic body elections in the district will begin from July 6 when elections will be held for nagar parishad Alot and nagar parishad Tal. Election observer Dr Ashok Kumar Bhargava has inspected polling arrangements on Monday at Alot and Tal. He also issued necessary directions for making arrangements in case of rain on polling day for voters standing in queue.
