Indore: Commissioner of Railway Safety ( CRS) Padam Singh Baghel gave his approval to ply trains with speed of 90 kmph on the newly converted Ratlam- Fatehabad broad gauge ( BG) Section. Baghel conducted speed test trial between on the new track between Ratlam and Fatehabad on Tuesday.

He appreciated the work and gave his nod for running of trains with speed limit of 90 kmph on the new track. He also gave instruction to the authorities concerned to make necessary improvement for the speed of 100 km per hour.

On Wednesday, he will conduct few more tests, trials and complete the report over the section. Most probably, he may give his approval for running of trains on new BG track and send the report to the DRM. As per the procedure, the DRM will send the report to the Railway Board, which will decide the date for running of trains. Zonal Railway User Consultative Committee member Jagmohan Verma demanded that the rail administration should start buses between Indore and Fatehabad after blocking the track. He also demanded that rail passengers’ service agents must the appointed as soon as possible.
