Railway Board member visits city station, expresses anger

Indore : Railway Board member (electrical) member Kulbhushan arrived here at city railway station on Saturday evening. He expressed resentment over treatment meted to him by local railway officers.He reached Indore by flight on Saturday evening and later at 9pm, he reached platform no.1. Interestingly, when he reached the platform, no responsible officer was present to receive him. Later, he was taken to the guest room. On watching some officers were not properly dressed, He reprimanded them and expressed his anger over the arrangements.

The railway sources said that he would inspect railway station on Sunday morning and later leave for next destination.

Kulbhushan is a 1974 batch officer with an ME degree. He is considered as a disciplined officer. With the incumbent Railway Board Chairman, Vinay Mittal, scheduled to demit office on June 30, the race for his successor is gaining momentum. Though there are three contenders for this coveted post, Kulbhushan, Member Electrical, Railway Board, is way ahead of his rivals and is likely to succeed Mittal.
