Property dealer knifed to death

Indore: Panic gripped Ram Krishna Bagh Colony under Khajrana police station area on Monday evening when some unidentified miscreants stabbed a property dealer to death. Police have recovered the bike from the spot along with two mobile phones. All senior police officials including SP (East) OP Tripathi, ASP Dr Ramji Srivastava and CSP KK Sharma reached the spot and started investigation.

As per information, on Devendra Yadav (30), a resident of Scheme No 78, was killed by some unidentified accused near Jaspal Dhaba in Ram Krishna Bagh Colony.  Police received information about the body of a youth found lying near under construction house in the area. Police interrogated some local residents of the area.

FSL expert Dr Sudhir Sharma said that the accused had stabbed Yadav 15 times and they have also found blood stains on the victim’s bike. “It seems that the accused had stabbed him while he was sitting on his bike,” he added.The body was sent for autopsy at MY Hospital and a case of murder against unidentified accused has been lodged at Khajrana police station area.

“We have detained some labourers working near the crime scene for interrogation to know about the incident. We are investigating all aspects as it was found that some cases were pending against the accused,” SP Tripathi said. According to sources, the police have been working on any love angle and old disputes. During preliminary investigation, it was also found that Devendra was the main accused in the murder attempt of martial art player Bunty Thakre in 2012.

It is to be noted that Devendra is the cousin of Vishal, a property dealer and a money lender, who was 2014 killed at his house in Nehru Nagar area in April after his driver opened fire from Vishal’s pistol accidentally. Vishal’s driver is already in the jail.“We’re probing all possible angles in the Devendra’s killing which will be worked out soon,” the SP-East said.
