Indore : Though renovation work of MY Hospital (Mission-2014) has been scheduled to commence after the GIS-2014, Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Dubey has directed the officials to start preparations for the same soon.

While chairing a meeting on Wednesday, Dubey directed the officials of MGM Medical College and the PWD to start initial work from October 5. The work will include shifting of equipment and cleaning of alternative place.

According to sources, Superintendent of MY Hospital Dr AD Bhatnagar gave a presentation for renovation in which he informed about the floor wise shifting plan which will start from 6th floor of the hospital.

“The patients of 6th floor will be shifted to the auditorium and OPD of the department. After completion of the work in the 6th floor, the patients of 5th floor will be shifted there and so on. The MY Hospital administration will also use the operation theatre of trauma centre for operating the patients of gynaecology department,” source said.

During the presentation, Dr Bhatnagar also informed the Divisional Commissioner to shift the patients of dialysis in Robert Nursing Home.

Dubey also directed the HoDs of MY Hospital to constitute separate teams to monitor the work of their departments. He also informed about buying new equipment for the hospital including ventilators, Colour Doppler, centralised oxygen unit, fire fighting system and CCTV cameras by spending Rs 5 crore.

“The Commissioner also directed IMC commissioner Rakesh Singh to monitor the drainage repair system and others renovation work,” sources added.

The MGM Medical College administration will also put three boxes in premises for collecting donation.
